Steve Thompson

Steve Thompson has spent his career on stage with some of the biggest names of the 60s, and he now brings those years of experience to his own solo show. He's a top-class guitar vocalist with a set of great songs from the 60s through to the 90s. Every performance is polished and professional.

He turned professional in 1989 when he joined 60s star Brian Poole and The Tremeloes, and he spent more than a decade as their guitarist. Along the way he appeared on Top of the Pops with Alicia's Attic, the band formed by Brian's daughters. In 2001 he became lead guitarist for Gerry & The Pacemakers. He toured with Gerry Marsden around the world for 17 years, until Gerry retired.

His solo set covers a wide range, from Merseybeat and The Beatles to The Eagles, Gary Moore and Hendrix, as well as more recent rock favourites. He plays live guitar to a very high standard, sings well, and has a lifetime of stage experience that shows in every performance. Steve is a great booking for clubs, pubs and functions, and he always gets the crowd on its feet.
