The original Amen Corner burst out of Cardiff in the mid-sixties with a sound that blended mod pop, swirling Hammond organ, blazing brass, and soulful vocals — racking up four successive UK Top Ten hits including the number one (If Paradise Is) Half as Nice, plus Bend Me Shape Me, High in the Sky, and Hello Suzie. When original founder member Alan Jones joined forces with veteran saxman Frogman Curtis, the New Amen Corner was born — a mission to keep that legendary sound alive on stage. Led by the hugely experienced Glen Leon, a session musician and performer with nearly four decades in the industry, the band have toured extensively across the UK and Europe and shared stages with sixties icons including Peter Noone, Wayne Fontana, Chris Farlowe, and PP Arnold.
